Goals
1. The worship life of Grace Lutheran Church is centered on the preaching of God’s Word and the receiving of the gift of life through baptism and communion. Therefore we strive to further enhance the worship experience of all who come to Grace Lutheran Church in the following ways:
Improving the aesthetics of the sanctuary by completing the sanctuary remodel
Keeping a good balance of traditional and contemporary music
Providing quality and consistent nursery care
Supporting those who assist in the worship, such as ushers, greeters, etc.
2. The Bible is the foundation upon which we build our faith. Reading and understanding the Bible is important to our growth as Christians and as a church. We will work to increase the number of people attending Bible Study by 10% annually.3. Grace Lutheran Church is a caring congregation. The time spent in fellowship allows us to “practice what we preach” with our fellow friends and members. We intend to strengthen our fellowship by:
Reestablishing the greeter program
Working hard to express appreciation for the many ways people serve God through their work at Grace Lutheran Church
Encourage people to participate in the fellowship activities of Grace Lutheran Church
4. Grace Lutheran Church will design and implement a plan for assimilating guests and visitors into the life and membership of Grace Lutheran Church.
5. Grace Lutheran Church will offer more opportunities for its friends and members to practice the spiritual discipline of Bible reading (not just study) and prayer as a means of deepening their relationship with God.
Many people of King City know very little about our congregation and its work. Grace Lutheran Church will develop a strategy for making Grace Lutheran Church and Christ known in the City of King.
The community in which we are called to share the gospel is predominately Hispanic and our church is mostly Anglo. At Grace Lutheran Church, we will explore the many options for bringing the message of Jesus Christ into a wider ethnic community.
